Our feet release toxins and moisture and also absorb and circulate energy, similar to how plants take in moisture and nutrients, yet expand and grow by way of an energy field. Nathan, the inventor of our patent-pending material, is an avid outdoorsman, survivalist, surfer, multifaceted artist, and jack of all trades. For the past 15 years, he has been on a journey of spiritual evolution, spending extended periods in the Amazon rainforest to learn about and connect with the healing powers of plants both local and distant. With this awareness, he has studied local medicinal and edible wild plants, recognizing their importance for optimal well-being.

One day, as someone who dislikes the stifling feeling of wearing socks in his shoes, Nathan had a brilliant idea to counteract the hot, smelly discomfort of his feet by crushing fresh eucalyptus leaves and placing them in his shoes. The experience was invigorating—the scent of eucalyptus was refreshing, and his feet felt revitalized. The simple act sparked inspiration, leading him to research the most beneficial medicinal plants for foot care. Gathering these plants, he created a basic insole mold, forming the first Nature Soul insoles. Since then, his feet have never been happier, fresher, or more aromatic.

Nathan brought this idea to his friend Bret, a recovered Wall Street banker, chef and nature lover with a passion for the marriage of science and holistic well-being. Over the past 13 months, they have perfected the insoles through rigorous testing on themselves, their friends and families. We have leveraged Bret’s expertise in corporate management and structuring to lay the foundation for a revolutionary company. Nature Soul is structured as a low-profit limited liability company (L3C), with a seven-year vision to evolve into a democratically autonomous organization (DAO) led by our employees and customers—our family.
